I really really LOVE pillows. Just ask my husband. When we got married, he inherited a plethora of pillows, most of which I have either donated or given away during the past 5 years of our marriage.
But recently, I’ve been bitten by the pillow bug (that sounds too much like bed bugs…. eek)! I want to add some fresh pillow covers to the mix, and I am totally digging the pillow in this post 🙂
How about you? Are you a pillow fiend?

The below post is a guest post written by Susie of Design Shuffle! Enjoy 🙂
Hand painted wallpaper is one of our favorite things. We adore the colors and patterns and little imperfections that show the work of the artist and maker. We’ve pulled together a collection of hand painted wallpapers for your decorating ideas file. We’ve included both commercial hand painted papers that you can buy on the roll, vintage and antique wall papers, as well as incredible hand painted wallpaper murals. Now we just have to decide which room to wallpaper. Maybe the laundry room? See the one below!
Modern and hip hand painted wallpapers from Nama Rococo are definitely some of our favorites. Nama Rococo is more artist studio than factory and their wallpapers can even be framed like paintings.
Love the floral hand painted wallpaper by Gracie Wallpapers in this laundry room. It is so lovely it could almost make us love doing the laundry. Almost.
This Indian inspired hand painted wallpaper was spotted in Elle Decor. It is by De Gournay and looks like hand painted wallpaper from the 19th century. Talk about fantastic bathroom design ideas! Love the colorful elephant!
Adore this hand painted De Gournay wallpaper in a modern dining room. It feels so fresh and feminine—and it really works with the mid-century modern furniture.
This antique wallpaper from Zuber dates to circa 1800! Antique wallpapers are expensive but just a few panels make a huge impact and perfect for any living room design.
Inspired by a curtain from Ballard Design, Emily of Jones Design Company hand painted her walls in a wallpaper pattern. Love the simple lattice pattern. She has a DIY tutorial on her blog. Amazing!
This is a handpainted Welsh mural done in limewash on plaster. Incredible! It looks like a Bloomsbury design.
When we saw this on Design Sponge a few months ago, our jaws dropped. Far more than hand painted wallpapers, the hand painted murals from Red Start Murals of Austin are works of art.

I am beginning to realize how much I have to do before the kiddo arrives, sometime around Turkey Day. Things like, oh, attend birthing classes, finish the girls’ room, register for a few small items 🙂
When I was pregnant with miss Violet, I was working so many hours at Starbucks, I did not even think about how I wanted my birth to go down. I literally baked the kid, showed up at the hospital, and gave birth. Simple as that. This time, I am really wanting to contemplate my options. Like, do I want another epidural? Can I do it natural? My midwife is super supportive of either option. I found out that the hospital that I am giving birth at even has a birthing pool! Something to look into for sure.
I will not be a control freak about things. So, if the pain is just too much for me to handle, I just might get that epidural, and not feel bad about it. But, I do think I am leaning towards trying things without painkillers.
In terms of registering, since I had a kiddo 2 1/2 years ago, I have heard that it is not proper to have a full blown registry (at least that is the word on the street). So, I will register for a few items, like cloth diapers (Yes, I am going to give cloth a chance!), a new pack n play, and a baby food maker. BUT I am really excited about making some Etsy Treasury’s filled with handmade items that I love! Not sure if it is fair to expect people to actually purchase from them like a Target registry, but what the heck!
Okay, this has been a really long post! Thanks for keeping up with me and baby Bloomfield 🙂

Recently I found Nifty Kid Stuff, and I fell head over heals in love with their handmade creations!
Who couldn’t love the Wool Baby Bear (pictured at the top of the post), stuffed plush with kapok and covered in polka dotted handmade goodness? Or what about the precious Piggy Puppet? I am totally digging the horizontal stitching that compliments the yellow stripes 🙂
The Baby Bunny Plush has stolen my heart for sure! Sigh, there are so many lovely items in this handmade shop! They create such gorgeous toys that truly do prompt imaginative play!

In an effort to get my holiday rear end in gear, I’ve been playing around with some different types of product. For the holidays, I’ve decided to make some cute reindeer pillows!
This is the pink prototype. I also have a green one, but am still trying to find the perfect backing fabric! I am still working on the 2012 calendar, and finishing up a new stocking design!
Happy holidays (a few months early….)

Hi, my friends. So, what do you do when you’ve been a little bit down? I’ll tell you what I do! I imagine that it is fall. I grab my favorite quilt, cozy up in an arm chair, and imagine that my decaf cup of coffee is actually a delicous Pumpkin Spice Latte…. yummo!

Dear Blog,
I feel like we have a very hot’n’cold kind of relationship going on. You see, I love writing on you. I get a bit tingly with excitement every time I see a new comment on one of your posts. I gulp with anticipation every morning I check my feedburner statistics to see how you are growing.
And yet, somehow, I just don’t have enough time to give you all of the gentle loving you deserve……
I seem to have ideas for new blog posts and plans to update my blog roll. But, then quitting time at my day job rolls around. I get home, make dinner, give into the curse that is pregnancy television coma, and somehow loose the will to blog.
I forget to take pictures before it gets dark…..
My grand ideas for a vlog are as elusive as a candle in the wind…..
And if I were to post all of the recipes that I cook on a regular basis, everyone would realize that I essentially live off of spongebob mac n cheese….
I digress.
Little blog, I wholeheartedly plan on attending to your needs soon. Please forgive me? I’ll buy you a pony!
Yours truly,
Big Momma Bloomfield
