my super cool new wall art

So, I love Apartment Therapy! They recently featured a post about a woman from Ohio who made some really cheap and really cool large wall art using vinyl letters, spray paint, and a favorite lyric. Check it out here.
Well, here’s my take on this little project. I used a lyric to one of my favorite songs by the Band “Stars”.
I am quite happy! The two panels frame my bed nicely!
I hope to get some better shots of them tomorrow with better light. What do you think?

I cannot remember where I got the headboard. It was a wedding present from my in-laws, but I sure do love it too! Perhaps it was from Bassett Furniture?

I’m getting in on this a little late, but I saw your beautiful art on Apartment Therapy and thought I’d check here to see if you posted any more details. I would love to try this myself, but I’m having a difficult time finding vinyl letters. Would you mind telling me where you found yours and what size you used? Thanks so much! Love the blog!

    Hi Ashley!
I got the vinyl letters from lowes in the hardware section (the letters are sold individually and are often used for signs and such. The brand was Hilman Signs Die-Cut. They are a little expensive (like 41 cents each)…. in hindsight, I might have gone with a shorter phrase. The good news it that the letters are reusable!

    Hope this helps!
