pumpkin waffles!
Oh boy Oh boy! I just made the best pumpkin waffles for dinner! You can find the recipe here. (Epicurious has tons of super great recipes).

yield: Makes 12 (4-inch) waffles

ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup packed light brown sugar
- 2 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 cup well-shaken buttermilk
- 1 cup canned solid-pack pumpkin
- 3/4 stick (6 tablespoons) unsalted butter, melted
- Vegetable oil for brushing waffle iron
- Accompaniment: warm pure maple syrup
- Special equipment: a waffle iron (preferably nonstick)

Tonight I am trying to find the motivation to pack for the Thanksgiving holidays. Currently I am snuggled in my Anthropologie comforter watching television on my laptop. You see, I do not have cable, and the 10 inch tv that I do own resides in my closet. It is useful for watching the weather, as long as I hold the bunny ears towards the window and don’t move.
I know I was supposed to post Christmas decor today, but I am too tired to do it after all of the cooking. I will leave you with some cute x-mas decor from around the internet:

i ate some cinnamon pumpkin pancakes at cafe brazil the other day. this is really the best time of year… except for the part where they start playing joni mitchell at starbucks all the time.
