A Special Pillowcase
So I have been thinking a lot about what to bring to the hospital when I deliver Lucy. The last go around with Violet, I literally packed a change of clothes and that was it!
Recently, someone suggested that I should bring my own pillow for comfort, but be sure to get a snazzy pillowcase so that it doesn’t get mixed in with the hospital’s supply. That’s when I turned to Etsy to find the prettiest vintage pillowcase!
I found this one from seller ErikawithaK. I LOVE how sweet the floral print is.
After Lucy is born, I want to make her a little dress or skirt from the fabric. I think it will be a special reminder of the the day she was born 😉
What do you think of that idea?

I basically love this idea! Just a thought, though, can you make something that she won’t outgrow from the fabric? Maybe a little throw pillow for her bed? (when she is old enough that that is not dangerous to keep in her bed) A stuffed animal? A block of a quilt?
That’s a really sweet idea. And the pillowcase is just lovely!
I love that skirt idea! She may outgrow it, but if you took a cute picture of her like on the pillow or with you holding her (and the pillow is in the picture) and then take a picture of her a little later wearing the skirt… ah priceless! 🙂 can’t outgrow pictures!
